Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing day with their families.
It might only be a day but it’s so important to get a break. I want to remember that this day was created is national holiday over 100 years ago to *honor and recognize* the hard-working labor force in this country. Creation and celebration of this day was in part established by union leaders as a recognition of workers rights and to fight for better conditions. So I want to thank the leaders yesterday – and celebrate the leaders of today who continue this fight!!

Please check out my statement in the Bee about a pending lawsuit filed by residents over the town board’s approval of a gas station project on Abbott Road. This situation is a perfect example of how the current Town Board is not listening to the members of this community and marking their concerns a priority. As Town Supervisor, I will ensure residents have a seat at the table before decisions are made, not ignored and having to push back after the fact!
